Celebrating Church's Anniversary With A Lunch

Late last month (August), we joined the church's anniversary lunch which was held after the Sunday celebration. The celebration lunch was held at the Sun Lee How Fook restaurant, Jalan Kampar, Ipoh.

The lunch event started with a cake cutting to celebrate the church's 123rd anniversary and after a thanksgiving prayer, the food was then served. It was a 7 course luncheon.
1. Deep fried prawn rolls and black seaweed rolls.
2. Fried rice.
3. Chicken curry bread.
Top left - a big round bread. Top right - the bread was cut open.
Bottom left - the foil package inside the bread.
Bottom right - eat the bread with the chicken curry.
4. Steamed yam with pork belly and green veggie.
5. Steamed fish slices on white tofu with blended ginger gravy.
6. Stir fried cabbage.
7. Sweet dessert - snow fungus, water chestnut cubes & beaten egg flower.
I like the crunchy water chestnuts.
The anniversary cake - soft fluffy sponge cake.

Below are some flower photos to celebrate God's faithfulness and His beautiful creation.
These plants are from the self-dispersed flower seeds.
Thank God for His blessings that these self propagated plants grew from the dispersed seeds.

Your kindness and love are as vast as the heavens.
Your faithfulness is higher than the skies.
(Psalm 57:10, The Living Bible-TLB)

  13. These flowers are Cleomes, they are also called spider flowers. Your church has been around a long time, so a celebration is really in order! Who paid for all this food? The church, or did the members share the cost? That is a beautiful and unusual stained glass window. Our church has none.
